ISRD was set up in the year 1992 by a group of 76 members from different background for the welfare of the society. We have an executive committee consisting 5 members elected by members of general body of the Organization.
Our long term objective is a welfare society where poorest of the poor and weaker section of the society could enjoy with full justice and democratic values in life.
Target groups: Women, Children, marginalized key populations, unemployed youths and minority ethnic groups.
• To empower Women, children, disables etc to enable them realize their rights through education, social and Human rights awareness by collective action.
• To liberate marginalized sections of society by bringing about a structural change in their socio-economic life.
• To bring the weaker community into the mainstream of national development by working with different stakeholders at all levels and
• Implement a Human Rights Education campaign aimed at community mobilization and social empowerment.
ISRD is managed by a Managing Committee headed by the President which is elected by members of general body of the Organization. The Managing Committee meets once in every month. All the decisions are unanimously taken in Executive body of the Organization.
Our financial guideline is framed according to local experience and financial rules as per law like requirement of donor etc. to maintain the quality of accounts. Our Financial Management Consists of Book Keeping, Record Maintenance, Internal Controls & Checks, Planning & Budgeting, Reporting and Statutory Compliances.
Managing committee is responsible for giving the decision of the overall management of the organization and project after analyzing the situation or the lessons from the field. The management committee meets quarterly and gives their suggestions and recommendations for the improvement of the programs. The representatives of the executive committee also visit the field; accompany the project team members to review the activities. The day-to-day management of the organization and project is done by the core members of the team under the supervision of the Chief Functionary. Further, every project is assigned to a concerned project manager who is the overall responsible person of the project. The project manager is also responsible for financial management along with the concerned accountant. Apart from the concerned accountant, we have an overall in-charge of the finance that is responsible for checking and monitoring accounting progress. Before the 28th of every month, all the project managers should submit their monthly progress report to the responsible person who analyze the report, and report to the Chief Functionary. The progress of the project or difficulties of the project is discussed along with the core members. Further, these problems are discussed in the staff meeting held quarterly. For the internal project management, all the team members make a monthly plan of action with target and financial aspect. Every Saturday is the team day in which the team discusses the successes and failures of the task. Then, the project manager and other senior colleagues help them to improve the work. All the team members should maintain their diary to monitor their own work. All the minutes of the meeting should be recorded in the concerned register as the source of information. Counseling services are provided to team members who are in need of psychological and emotional support. Senior team members are positively observing the performance of the team members to take appropriate intervention to prevent from being burnt-out. Appreciation and encouragement is given to all the team members for their performance.
We have standard procurement policy of the organization which consists of
a procurement committee, market survey, identification of supplier, cost comparison at least from 3
vendors, supply/purchase order and goods receipt note. Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Policy of
the organization covers Bribes, Gifts and hospitality, Facilitation payments, Political contributions
and charitable contributions which periodically
assess by an Anti-Corruption Committee. ISRD has also internal control frameworks/policies
including human resource, protection policies for women, children and key populations, financial
management and asset disposition plan. Our financial auditing process conducted by internal audit
committee and externally by a registered Chartered Accountant annually.
We adopted Anti-

protection policies for women, children and key populations, financial management and asset disposition
plan. ISRD adopted protection policies for women, children and vulnerable key population from the year
2011 which ensure them a safe environment. Policies were adopted from United Nations Convention on
the Rights of the Child, Universal Declaration of Human Rights (Articles 17 and 25) and UN Convention
on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (Articles 13-16).
